The design that the Zecca Group selected for its ribbed slab (also known as MSP) was studied by Architect Maspes. Over time, it has proven to be an unfashionable finish, fulfilling the desire of customers who were and are looking for a sober, rational and unique building. Its shape allows for façade designs that change during the day as shadows are cast by the ribs.
It is an extremely rational design born of the meeting of technical requirements to stiffen the element, while maintaining limited thicknesses, and the search for balance in the details.
The characterising element is the capital at the top of the slab, which together with the geometry of the ribbing itself distinguishes and enhances the ribbed finish of the Zecca Group. Due to its technical characteristics, this external finishing solution can only be realised as a vertical element, allowing ample possibilities for single openings within the ribs; or, by interrupting the slab, for continuous openings. The peculiarity of the design allows for excellent aesthetic results with both the exposed concrete finish and the slab painting.
